It's Friday! Have You Turned Into A Book Yet? [9]

"It's Friday! Have You Turned Into A Book Yet?" is inspired by the #fridayreads
Twitter meme, Book Journey's "It's Monday! What Are You Reading?", Should Be Reading's "WWW Wednesdays", Tynga's Reviews "Stacking the Shelves" and the various other book haul memes, and probably a few others I can't remember right now.

All covers/book title links lead to Goodreads.

I haven't got very far (like only 10 pages), so I don't have much to say, other than it seems like it will be great.

As you'll notice in Book News, the trailer for this was released Saturday, and when I watched it I was reminded greatly of The Secret Circle books by L.J. Smith, which I LOVE, so I though I check this out to see how they compare.

Thirst No. 5 came out Tuesday, and I picked it up, but when reading the back I decided I really should re-read the whole series before starting No. 5. I mean, this series is almost The Vampire Diaries show crazy (and I say show, because the  TVD books aren't that bad).

I'm thinking I will re-read this as well, just because I want to.
* I just remembered that the Fairy Tale Read-a-thon is this weekend, so my answers will most likely change here.

It. Was. Amazing! I absolutely LOVED it! And I can't believe it took me this long to read it.

I pre-ordered the book, but only a couple days before the book released, so it didn't come until this week.

(Books I bought.)
Spellcaster by Claudia Gray
Losing It by Cora Carmack
Thirst No. 5: The Sacred Veil by Christopher Pike

I wasn't going to get Losing It (the premise didn't really appeal to me), but good review after good review kept popping up on my Goodreads dash, so I decided to it a chance.

Jennifer Rush revealed the cover to the second book in her Altered series, Erased, and I love it! Look at those abs!! This is not the final cover, but Jenn says that there will, most likely, be only little tweaks. There's no synopsis yet, and the released date is Jan 2014.

Series Covers:

Robin Wasserman revealed the paperback cover to her (AMAZING!) The Book of Blood and Shadow. I adored the old cover but this one fits the book So. Much. Better. The paperback will release July 9th, 2013 from Ember/Random House.

One night. One body, broken in a pool of blood.
One killer, lost in the shadows.
One girl, left behind.
Left alone, to face the consequences.
To find the truth.
To avenge the dead.

One night is all it takes to change Nora Kane's life forever. Her best friend is dead; her boyfriend has vanished. And the trail of blood leads straight back to her: The person who might be responsible. The person who might be next.

Desperate to save the people she loves and determined to find justice for the ones she's lost, Nora unearths a dark web of secret societies and shadowy conspirators, all driven by a mad desire to possess something that might not even exist. Something to which Nora herself might hold the key. It turns out her night of blood is just one piece in a puzzle that spans continents and centuries—and solving it may be the only way she can save her own life.

Hypable revealed the trailer to Claudia Gray's new novel Spellcaster.

EW's Shelf Life revealed the trailer to Mila 2.0 by Debra Driza.

It's Friday! Have You Turned Into A Book Yet? [7]

I skipped last week because I had family visiting and a book signing to go to, and I honestly forgot about this. Sorry.

(P.S. What do you think of my new little button ↑ ?)

I haven't gotten very far into it (like only 10 pages), but so far I'm liking it.

I still haven't finished this. And I probably will end up marking this DNF-For-Now.

As you'll see in "TBF Left Me Hanging," I just picked this up, and, knowing me, I'll get on another ContempRomance kick after Amy & Roger, so figured I might as well start this before I forget about it.

I still haven't read this, and I ended up *cringe* seeing the movie before reading the book.

Loved. It! Ugh, it was just so good, I don't even know what to say, other than Go. Read. Now.

This book. . .WOW. It was so amazing. I loved it just as much as Grave Mercy, which, while that's what I was hoping for, I didn't think it would happen, because I LOVE court intrigue, and this book focused more on Sybella's feelings than court politics.

I am so happy about find Dance with a Vampire! Awhile ago I started collecting old editions of books that got their cover changed, and with DwaV I only need to find a hardcover of Vampire Kisses (book 1) to complete my Vampire Kisses collection. Also, I found it when I went to Ally Carter's signing in Lansing (which is how Perfect Scoundrels got to be signed), and I must say, Ally. Is. AWESOME!

This week I've just did a title and link to the various Book News.

Reading this for the 3rd time. I love this book soooo much, and it seems to get better every time I read it.

I started this on the plane last week, but after I got Gates of Paradise from Books of Wonder, I just put it aside.

Finally got the ARC I won, so I hope to start this soon.

I still need to read this, and I only have 2 weeks left. Gah!

O. M. G. This book was AMAZING! And I can't believe the series is over!! Uh, I'm tearing up just thinking about it. *sob* No more Blue Bloods!! (Well, there is a spin-off coming, but not for a while :( .)

I loved it! Just what I needed to get over the end of the series. The art is gorgeous, and it was adapted very well!

A couple of the books came from Books of Wonder, a couple came from B&N, and the rest came from Strand.

There were so many cover reveals this week that if I listed them all here the "Book News" section would be longer than the rest of the post! So I decided to just recap all the cover reveals over in a "Exciting Book Stuff" post. You can find that post here.

Jodi Meadows revealed the trailer to her recently released Asunder, book 2 in the Newsoul trilogy. Check it out below.

Courtney Allison Moulton revealed the trailer to her recent release, Shadows in the SilenceAngelfire book 3.

Three new Unravel Me spoiler videos were unveiled, "Infomercial," "Household Products," and "I Wrote a Song for You." HuffPost Books posted "Household Products," as well an interview with Tahereh Mafi. Examiner.com posted "I Wrote a Song for You." The videos are below, and remember they are SPOILER vids, so watch at your own risk.

That's everything. See y'all next week!
