It's Friday! Have You Turned Into A Book Yet? [14]

"It's Friday! Have You Turned Into A Book Yet?" is inspired by the #fridayreads Twitter meme, Book Journey's "It's Monday! What Are You Reading?", Should Be Reading's "WWW Wednesdays", Tynga's Reviews "Stacking the Shelves" and the various other book haul memes, and probably a few others I can't remember right now.

All covers/book title links lead to Goodreads.

Still reading it. City of a Thousand Dolls put me in a high fantasy mood, so I have a feeling I'll be setting Rowdy aside before finishing soon.

Started reading Mistborn a couple months ago, but wasn't in a high fantasy mood at the time, so I set it aside. Now I'm itching to read ALL THE HIGH FANTASY, and decided this shall be first.

Stolen just came out Tuesday, and I am so excited! Post-apocalyptic! Dragons! Melissa de la Cruz! Eep!

I've had this on my shelf forever, and since I'll be reading about dragons in Stolen, I figure I'll continue the theme with Seraphina. (Plus, I've heard it's ah-mazing.)

I really, really liked it! I felt like it was a bit slow in the beginning, but the end definitely made up for it. Itching to get my hands on the (newly-released!) companion novel, Empire of Shadows.

(Books/Stuff that came in the mail.)

Nothing came in the mail this week. :(

(Books I bought/borrowed.)
From Barnes & Noble:
Mortal Heart by Robin LaFevers
Stolen by Melissa de la Cruz & Michael Johnston

And that's everything! See you all next week!

With the companion novel releasing last week, and accompanying buzz about the series, I decided it was finally time to start this. About half-way through, and quite liking it so far!

I'm really liking it, but for some reason I just can't lose myself in the story like I could with the other books in the series.

I haven't read any of the Bane Chronicles stories because I was waiting for bind-up, and it's finally here! Definitely plan on spending some quality time with Magnus soon.

My friend Lisa lent this to me forever ago, and I've decided I really need to get around to reading it.

Instead of reading Crown of Midnight like I said I was going to, I decided to read The Assassin's Blade instead, though I just couldn't bring myself to re-read the last novella because SAAAAAM. (It goes without saying that I loved them all, right?)

(Books/Stuff that came in the mail.)         (Books I bought/borrowed.)

I forgot to separate the books when I took the picture, so the two "Book Faery" categories are combined this week. It is also all of the books I collected over the last two weeks.

Re-reading it, because Sarah Maas reblogging Heir of Fire/ToG fanart on tumblr is giving me all kinds of feels.

Because I can already tell Throne of Glass will not be enough to get out all my Celaena feels.

It officially releases Tuesday, so I need to get to my ARC. Plus, I loved book 1, The Naturals.

Have heard great things about this one, and with it releasing in a couple days, I should probably get around to it.

Finally got to reading it, and Ally Carter is right in her blurb, it is just like "Criminal Minds" for YA. Loved!

(Books/Stuff that came in the mail.)
From the YA Book Exchange:
Sublime by Christina Lauren

From Bloomsbury:
Not in the Script by Amy Finnegan

From Sophie Jordan:
Wild by Sophie Jordan

From Martina Boone:
The Young Elites by Marie Lu

Everything but Sublime I won. Also, Wild and Not in the Script came with swag, but I was too lazy to dig it all out for the pic.

(Books I bought/borrowed.)

I haven't bought (or borrowed) any bookish things in the last week.

It's Friday! Have You Turned Into A Book Yet? [11]

"It's Friday! Have You Turned Into A Book Yet?" is inspired by the #fridayreads

Re-reading it, and it is as oh-so-good as I remember.

I've been "reading" this for a week. And I say "reading" because I am still on the first chapter.

Same deal as Finnikin, I'm "reading" this, though I am a bit farther in this than I am in Finnikin.

I just picked this up, because it seemed like a perfect spring break read, and I have been wanting to read it for awhile now.

Finishing Finnikin of the Rock (and The Sky is Everywhere) is top priority because it's a library book due the Monday after I get back, so I figure I'll want Froi with me.

I want to re-read it before seeing the movie, and I wasn't going to take it originally, but almost all the comments I got on Tumblr and Instagram (about this photo) were votes to take The Host, so I decided to take it with me after all.

It. Was. Amazing! Like, abusing-the-caps-lock-won't-even-come-close-to-showing-how-amazing-it-was amazing. I also can't believe the series is over! Though the end was the best end-to-a-series I have ever read. (And it seems since I decided not to abuse the caps lock, I'm going to abuse the hyphen. Oops.)

(Books/Stuff that came in the mail.)(Over the last two weeks.)
From Leanne via YA Book Exchange:
Spy Glass by Maria V. Snyder

From Fierce Reads:
Birthmarked by Caragh M. O'Brien

From Haley via YA Book Exchange:
Inside Out by Maria V. Snyder
The Gathering Dark by Christine Johnson

(Books I bought/borrowed.)(In the last two weeks.)

From Barnes & Noble:
Froi of the Exiles by Melina Marchetta
Poison by Bridget Zinn

From my mom/Books of Wonder:
Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare (signed)

From the Library:
Finnikin of the Rock by Melina Marchetta
The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson

Clockwork Princess actually came in the mail, but in my rush to take photos before I left for Starbucks (my internet at home sucks right now), I accidentally put it with the Bought books.

Because I skipped last week, I'm going to do a separate post for Book News (look for Exciting Book Stuff!) because it will be kinda long.
